HENDERSON, Desmond
Des passed away peacefully at Caledonian Court Care Home on Sunday 21st April, aged 70 years. A doting dad to Kelly and Laura, a beloved grandad to Layla, a much-loved brother to Sadie, Betty, and Wull, a loving uncle and a great friend to many.
Des may be known for his many years working at Alexanders Coach Builders in Camelon or his days spent watching and supporting his favourite football team, Celtic. His fun-loving character and generous heart are just a few of the many qualities Des will be remembered for and with his passing, he leaves behind the legacy of an infectious spirit and a generous heart.
Kelly and Laura will be eternally grateful that he was theirs and will always remember the many great times they had together. A very special man who will be greatly missed by so many but the wonderful memories, laughs and love he has left behind will be remembered and cherished dearly by all those who had the privilege of sharing his life.
Donations, if so, desired can be made in memory of Des for Action For Pulmonary Fibrosis Across Scotland and the Scott Martin Foundation. Donations can be left following the service or donated personally through Des's donation link above.
Friends and family members are invited to contribute to Desmond's memorial page by sharing fond memories and photographs of Desmond, lighting a memorial candle or leaving a message for his family to keep and take comfort from following his service day.
"You held my hand when I was small
You caught me when I fell
You are the hero of my childhood
And my later years as well
And every time I think of you
My heart still fills with pride
Though I will always miss you Dad
I know you're by my side
In laughter and in sorrow
In sunshine and in rain
I know you're watching over me
Until we meet again."
